Papamastorakis

He joined to University of Crete in 1985 as an Assistant Professor. He was promoted to an Associate Professor in 1990 and to Professor in 2005. He retired and was elected Emeritus Professor in 2009. He served as the founding Director of Skinakas Observatory from 1985 until his retirement. In 2019, ten years after his retirement, the guest house at Skinakas Observatory was named in his honour. Since 2001 he is the Scientific Director of the Onassis Foundation Science Lecture Series, that take place every July at FORTH.
