Since 2018 he is working with professor Andreas Zezas on studying and modeling X-Ray spectra from High Mass X-Ray Binaries and in the summers of 2019 and 2020 he was at Skinakas Observatory as Research Assistant. In 2021 he completed his undergraduate thesis with title "Spectral and Timing Analysis of Swift J005139.2-721704, a transient Be/X-Ray Pulsar". |

Nikos Mandarakas obtained his BSc in Physics in 2018 and completed his Master studies in Advanced Physics with specialization in Astrophysics & Space Physics in 2019, both at the University of Crete. He is expected to continue for doctoral studies under the supervision of Prof. K. Tassis. |

He has actively engaged with polarimetric observations at Skinakas observatory since the last year of his bachelor studies and has gained experience in relevant research, data aquisition and data anlysis. For his PhD studies, he is going to be part of the PASIPHAE survey, contributing to observations, analysis of the products and development of computational tools for the needs of the survey. |
