Georgios Pavlou graduated from the Department of Physics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2006 and completed the Postgraduate Studies in the Section of Nuclear and Particle Physics of the same Department in 2010. His PhD thesis was on “Adiabatic description of quantum resonances in time dependent systems” and he received his PhD, from the same Department, in 2017.
Career :
In 2019 he joined the Fusion Technology Group of the Institute of Nuclear & Radiological Sciences and Technology, Energy & Safety (INRASTES) of NCSR “Demokritos" where he worked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher for the purposes of the European Consortium for the Development of Fusion Energy (EUROfusion) in code development for the analysis of experimental data and in code development of theoretical physics. Since November 2021, he is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Institute of Applied and Computational Mathematics and at the Institute of Astrophysics at FORTH working on the project "MagMASim".
Interests :
Theoretical Αstrophysics, studying the Μagnetic Field of our Galaxy, Neutron Star Physics, Mathematical Modeling and Machine Learning in Physics.
