Education :

Nikolaos Loudas graduated from the 2nd high school of Grevena with a grade of 19.5/20 (‘Excellent’) and from 2017 until 2018, he studied Civil Engineering
at the Aristotle University Of Thessaloniki. Since 2018, he is an undergraduate student in the Dept. of Physics at the University of Crete.

Career :

In 2019, he became a member of the Institute of Astrophysics and is currently working with Prof. Nick Kylafis on a project related to cyclotron line formation in a radiative shock. In parallel, he studies the properties of various dark matter models, as well as their impact on structure formation and strong gravitational lensing under the supervision of Prof. Vasiliki Pavlidou and Prof. Kostas Tassis. In July of 2021, he successfully defended his senior thesis entitled "Relativistic QED versus classical magnetic resonant cross-sections". Moreover, in October of 2021, he was awarded a fellowship from the Institute of Astrophysics-FORTH.

Interests :

Cosmology, Dark matter models & strong gravitational lensing, Theoretical Astrophysics with special interests in Production and Transfer of Radiation, Machine learning methods in Astrophysics.
