Katia Gkimisi graduated from the 1st High School of Agia Paraskevi, Athens and entered the undergraduate program in the Department of Physics, University of Crete in 2016. She completed her BSc in 2020 and she continued to the MSc program of Advanced Physics. |

In 2018 she started a project on intrinsically polarized stars, under the supervision of professor Konstantinos Tassis. She then commenced her undergraduate thesis, entitled "Detecting artefacts in Robopol images using Deep Convolutional Neural Networks" in which, with the help of PhD candidate Rafael Skalidis, she analyzed data taken outside the mask of the RoboPol instrument. |
