David Aguilera Dena obtained his Bachelor in physics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 2015. He later obtained his MSc and PhD in Astrophysics at the University of Bonn in 2017 and 2021.
David completed his PhD in the University of Bonn on the topic of massive star evolution, and its connection to transients such as supernovae, gamma-ray bursts and gravitational waves. Since early 2021, he is working at FORTH-IA on the project EPICS, seeking to understand the birth and evolution of compact objects.
