Education :

Carolina Casadio obtained her MSc in Astrophysics and Cosmology at the University of Bologna (Italy) in 2010, and her PhD in Physics and Mathematics at the University of Granada (Spain) in 2016. Her academic geneaology tree is here.

Career :

After completing her PhD, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Max-Planck-Institut für Radioastronomie (MPIfR) in Bonn (Germany) during 2016 - 2019. In 2020, she joined the group of the PASIPHAE ERC project, as a  postdoctoral fellow of IA-FORTH. In 2022 she was awarded an ERC starting grant entitled "SMILE: Search for Milli-lenses to discriminate between dark matter models" and obtained a permanent Associate Researcher position at IA.

Interests :

Active galactic nuclei; extragalactic astrophysics;  radio and mm-VLBI interferometry; multi-wavelengths studies; polarimetry.
